Tips for Choosing Thailand Vacations

If you have spent any amount of time searching online for the best Thailand vacations, odds are you may be feeling just a little bit confused with all the choices that are available.
With vacation packages that range from exotic beach locales in Phuket, to cultural events in Chiang Mai, Ayuttahaya or Bangkok, there is a vacation package that is sure to fit every taste and activity level. Since the options are nearly endless when it comes to choosing the best Thailand vacation for you, here are some simple tips to keep in mind. Active Vacation Or RelaxationFirst, think about what you want to do on your vacation in Thailand. While a vacation that includes mountain climbing and snorkeling may sound exciting, it will only be exciting to you if you actually plan on participating in these activities. If you are more of a homebody who prefers to spend their time in front of the TV instead of outside exploring the great outdoors, then there is a good chance that one of these high energy Thailand vacations may not be the best choice for you. Before you purchase your vacation, take your needs into consideration. Do you want a vacation where you can relax on the beach, or do you want to travel to an area where you can learn about the inner workings of a new and exciting culture? While these may just be a few of the vacation options that are available, identifying your interests is the best way to determine which vacation package is the best one for you. Vacation Packages Or Self-PlanningSecond, determine how much work you really want to put in to planning your Thailand vacation activities. By this point you should probably have a plan of the type of activities that you want to participate in once you get to Thailand. Now you will need to determine how much work you want to put into your vacation once you actually arrive. Since some vacation packages will provide you with a type of itinerary for all the activities and events that you will participate in on any given day, others will get you to your destination and then allow you to investigate the sites on your own. Take some time and determine exactly what type of vacation will work best for you. If you like to do things at your own pace, then do it yourself planning may work better and may be more cost effective than the itemized travel plans. Think Of Your BudgetLastly, make sure you budget properly. While a month long vacation may sound awesome, your budget may not support it.
Your biggest expenses of course will be airfare and accommodations. These are fixed costs and can be budgeted for easily. The rest (the variable expenses) is up to you. There are many beautiful 5 star resorts in the country where you are catered to every moment (an incredible experience), but I prefer the budget approach to Thailand because it get’s you closer to the people. The side effect is saving money. If you have a small budget left after paying for your airline ticket and accommodations, don’t worry you wont go hungry or go without something to do. There are plenty of ways to enjoy your time with little or no money during your Thailand vacation. Make sure to keep your budget in mind and determine exactly what type of activities you are interested in and you are sure to choose the best Thailand vacation. Coming Soon!
